Champions League, Milan debut at home against Anderlecht: Allegri is increasingly at risk

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – Allegri flaunts tranquility (“The president is serene, I have an excellent relationship with Galliani”) but the debut in the Champions League with the Belgians is already from inside or outside: not so much for the group standings – it is only the first match - as much as to save the bench and avoid sinking into an increasingly black crisis - Bojan from the first minute

Champions League, Milan debut at home against Anderlecht: Allegri is increasingly at risk

Milan-Anderlecht, it's already time for inside or out. Because after Saturday's defeat against Atalanta, the Rossoneri can no longer make mistakes, on pain of sinking into the darkest crisis. Everyone at Milan is at risk these days, but no one is playing as much as Massimiliano Allegri, who has now firmly entered the crosshairs of critics. “When you're in the spotlight it's normal to be the target of criticism – the Rossoneri coach replied ironically. – Maybe I am a little more so, but that's part of the game. I'm lucky to coach Milan and I hope to stay there for a long time so you can keep talking about my bench in the balance. If results are lacking in the long run, it's normal for the coach to pay, but I think this team will grow." Allegri believes in his group, on the other hand he couldn't do otherwise. However, it is evident that in recent times the harmony with Via Turati has diminished, and the results certainly don't help. But the Rossoneri coach doesn't think so: “The president is serene, I have an excellent relationship with Galliani. This is the truth. I read that I am arguing with Galliani, that Berlusconi is not serene and does not trust me, it is not true. I'm not a lightning rod, I train a good team that the club has made available to me and I have shared the choices made. It's clear that I didn't expect the difficulties we had, but that shouldn't stop us."

In all of this there is a Champions League match to prepare for, which in other times would have been almost taken for granted, but today even any Anderlecht is scary. The infirmary is then slow to empty: Montolivo and Robinho will return to Udine on Sunday, while Pato will have to wait a few more days. The men available will therefore be the same as last Saturday, but Allegri has thought of some new things all the same. In central defense Mexes should meet again, who will team up with Bonera, while Acerbi will take a seat on the bench, in midfield Nocerino will resume his place in left midfield, Bojan will make his debut in attack from the first minute. A match to be won at all costs, possibly by playing well, certainly with a different attitude compared to Saturday: “Anderlecht are the first opponents in the Champions League and must be faced with a serene mind – commented Allegri. – I'm sure we'll play an important game, but we need more anger and more malice. This is a team that has a history in the Champions League, it will take patience, it will take balance knowing that chances will happen to us during the match. We have to bring out a desire for revenge towards everyone”. Allegri certainly doesn't miss that, now we'll see if the team will be with him.
