Now it gets tough. Juventus does not go beyond the home draw against Tottenham and complicates life in terms of qualification. Allegri would have signed so as not to concede a goal, instead he conceded 2 and will now be forced to win at Wembley (or, alternatively, to draw by scoring at least 3 goals) in order not to abandon the Champions League prematurely. Of course, time can play in his favor: on March 7, the day of the London match, he should have Matuidi and, above all, Dybala at his disposal, very important players capable of simplifying what appears to be a business.

In fact, the Spurs are unleashed at home, as Real Madrid has already been able to see, beaten 3-1 without too many pleasantries. And to say that the match had not gone well but even very well. Ready-go and Higuain unlocked it with a turn as beautiful as it was unstoppable (2'), then Davies kicked Bernardeschi in the area and Pipita himself signed the 2-0 from the penalty spot (9'). A dream start which, however, as the minutes passed, ended up inexorably vanishing.

More than Kane's 2-1 goal (35'), the Lady was awakened by another penalty granted (rightly) by referee Brych for a foul by Aurier on Douglas Costa: this time Higuain printed it on the crossbar and Tottenham thus went into half-time with a minimal disadvantage. A bad blow for Juve, who came close to scoring the third goal several times even in the second half but without finding it.

And so the English, after scaring Buffon with a shot from Kane, found the 2-2 with Eriksen, smart in kicking a free-kick on the goalkeeper's post and lucky to find his complicity (71'). The match ended with Juve hunting for a new advantage but by now physical energy was decreasing and mental energy, well, needless to say... The 2-2 final leaves everything open but it is clear that the result satisfies Pochettino more than Allegri, at least how things turned out.

“I don't accept that this draw depresses the environment, we had a 50% chance before and we still have it now – the manager's outburst. – I think some objectivity has been lost here, Juventus are playing to win the Champions League but are not the favourites. It is taken for granted that we have to beat Tottenham 3-0 and it pisses me off, you can't go to the final every year..”.

Harsh words, completed by a subsequent tweet ("we will win with enthusiasm and positivity") which, if it weren't clear yet, shifts everything to the psychological aspect. Qualification remains open but only on condition that you go to London with the right mentality, without being conditioned by the "usual" European ghosts. Allegri understood it, on March 7 we will see if the message has also been received by his players.
