Great affirmation of Italy to the 'Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2021', the most famous international competition dedicated to bubbles from all over the world. Out of over a thousand labels presented in the competition and tasted by the international jury of the authoritative competition, the Italian producers brought home a rich game bag: well 58 gold medals against the 52 won by French producers. And the most prestigious award of “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year”, went to the Ferrari company, proclaimed winery of the year. The Maison de Champagne Luis Roederer, winner of the last edition, which totaled 7 gold and 4 silver medals, therefore had to settle for the second podium of the competition
In particular, the company of the Lunelli group has defeated all the numerous competition, and in addition to the title of Winery of the year, having conquered 12 gold and 8 silver medals has touched a real international record.

Among other things, it should be noteddiversity of award-winning Italian wines ranging from Franciacorta and Trentodoc, to Lambrusco, to territorial expressions such as Sicily which have shown that they can compete internationally for the level achieved in recent years.
The level achieved by Italian production has found further confirmation in the 129 silver medals awarded to our country, an exceptional result that sees French companies far behind by several lengths: in fact, they have only won 50 medals.
“For the past seven years I have tried to encourage producers to focus on potential gold and silver medal winning wines- commented Tom Stevenson, – This does not necessarily mean presenting their most expensive and prestigious products. We want to taste the prestige cuvées, the competition has grown every year, the mission of the CSWWC is not only to promote world-class wines, but also to discover and reward new and exciting wines from established and emerging regions around the world” .
The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) is the only international sparkling wine competition judged by sparkling wine specialists, for the new generation of sparkling wine consumers who enjoy sparkling wine at every opportunity.
The CSWWC guarantees their provenance and promotes the world-class sparkling wines of each region as gourmet wines par excellence. The contest is now in its seventh edition.
