The Confindustria Study Center has cut its estimates of Italian GDP for 2014 and 2015. Compared to last December's forecasts, in fact, the CsC has lowered its estimates for the current year from an increase of 0,7% to one by 0,2%. For 2015, on the other hand, growth of 1% is forecast against 1,2% in December.
"After the false start at the end of 2013 - explains the CsC in its report - the recovery is expected to begin in the second half of the current year". In any case, "A very strong political-economic shock is needed to bring Italy back to a higher path of development".
