The geo-political tensions concerning Crimea could have a global impact on consumer and business confidence and on commercial exchanges with more important repercussions for the Made in Italy sector. This is supported by the Confindustria Study Centre, in the monthly analysis released today.
Industrialists point out that Moscow has become a commercial and strategic partner with 111 billion in imports from the EU in 2013, 11 of which from Italy. A third of Russian imports from our country, we read in "Congiuntura Flash", is attributable to consumer goods such as footwear, furniture and women's clothing: all the Made in Italy sectors most exposed to any escalation of sanctions that the European Union could take on against Russia.
