The board of directors of Cdp Networks – investment vehicle owned by CDP (59,1%), State Grid Europe (35%) and a group of Italian institutional investors (5,9%) – approved the draft financial statements and the consolidated financial 31 December 2022.

The numbers of Cdp Reti: the main data

In the 2022 total assets of Cdp Reti has risen to 5,4 billion euros from 5,2 in 2021, while the net profit it grew by 6% to 501 million from 471 million in 2021 "mainly due to the effect of higher dividends for the period", explains the company in a note.

In detail, total assets are mainly represented by investments in Terna, Snam and Italgas, valued at acquisition cost and equal to 5 billion euros. In fact, Cdp Reti's mission is to manage the equity investments in Snam (equal to 31,35%), in Terna (28,85%) and in Italgas (26,01%).

As regards the passive, in 2022 debts for long-term loans (including the current portion) amounted to 1,4 billion euros, a sharp reduction compared to 1,7 billion at the end of 2021, while the net assets it stands at 3,6 billion euros, an increase of 100 million compared to the previous year.

I dividends amount to 523 million euros, an increase of 6% compared to 2021 "due to the positive effects deriving from the increase in dividends (in terms of dividend per share) of the investee companies", explains Cdp Reti.

In the 2022 total consolidated assets it stood at 72 billion, an increase compared to 66 billion in 2021, a result “mainly attributable to property, plant and equipment for 38,6 billion euros”, reads the note.

Il net assets consolidated amounted to 18,6 billion euro (of which 4,9 billion euro pertaining to Cdo Reti), from 16,8 billion in the previous year. L'consolidated net profit instead it fell by 27,3% to 1,8 billion euro. The net result attributable to CDP shareholders is equal to 513 million euros.

Dividend of over 500 million

The company's board will propose to the shareholders' meeting scheduled for May 16-22 the distribution of a dividend of over 500 million, equal to 3.098,88 euros per share, of which 331 (2.054,80 euros per share) already distributed as an interim dividend in November 2022. Based on the proposal of the board of directors, therefore the balance will be approximately 169 million (1.044,08 euros per share) and will be paid by 31 May 2023.
