If there are no twists or second thoughts, the Board of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, scheduled for the end of the month, will launch a robust package of appointments both on the board of the CDP itself and at the top of a couple of important subsidiaries.
In pole position for a prominent place on the board of directors of the CDP as an independent indicated by the League is Giulio Sapelli, a famous economic historian and premier for one night, before being sunk by the Five Stars who preferred Giuseppe Conte in extremis. Sapelli, whose competence and independence of judgment are known, should take the place of Valentino Grant, who will resign because he was recently elected to the European Parliament.
But that of Sapelli is not the only new arrival. A face-to-face meeting between the Minister of Economy, Giovanni Tria, and the CEO of the CDP, Fabrizio Palermo, should have paved the way for the change at the top of Sace, from which both the president Beniamino Quintieri and the CEO Alessandro would emerge Decius. There are still no names of the replacements but the fact that the search through the headhunters has been activated means that the changing of the guard is on the way.
