Cdp, financial education month: here are the initiatives

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti participates in the month of financial education, focusing on the topic of savings, with the aim of encouraging greater awareness of economics and finance issues.

In this context, CDP organized a series of meetings with elementary and high school students and launched a "training" project together with Treccani aimed at young people. Furthermore, together with MIUR and Poste Italiane, CDP will continue to support "Il Risparmio che fa scuola", a project that aims to spread the value of savings among two hundred thousand pupils of over seven thousand schools in the country.

Fabrizio Palermo, CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti declared: “At CDP we are committed to supporting and spreading a greater awareness of the value of savings, also among the new generations, linked to the activities and mission of the Group, which since 1850 has responsibly employed resources of postal savings bonds and passbook savings accounts to promote the country's sustainable development. A constant commitment that CDP has been responsibly carrying out for 170 years to contribute to economic and infrastructural growth and which we intend to further strengthen in the light of the new challenges that Italy will have to face in the future”.

As for schools, Cassa Depositi professionals will meet 1.500 students from Milan, Rome and Naples to explain more complex concepts such as money and savings, the role of individual and collective choices and the principles of sustainable development in an easy and intuitive way .

On the other hand, the “Words of Savings” initiative was launched with Treccani, a collaboration that aims to illustrate the key terms of savings. The project, which intends to reach a younger audience, will be available on the website Savings Words and accessible through digital channels and social networks.

Lastly, "Il Risparmio che fa scuola", an initiative launched last year with the Miur and Poste Italiane with the aim of promoting the value of savings in the classrooms through activities ranging from playful activities dedicated to children to real courses for the older ones, thanks also to a dedicated online portal.
