CDP signs an agreement with the UN for sustainable development

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program which provides for the identification of joint cooperation programmes.

The agreement is part of Cassa Depositi's international strategy, which aims to promote and finance public-private investments aimed at achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The agreement with Undp, which has an extensive network in 170 countries, will therefore allow the company to strengthen its role in guiding the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

"This agreement is part of CDP's strategy, aimed at promoting cooperation and identifying investments capable of promoting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals - said Fabrizio Palermo, CEO of Cassa depositi e prestiti - As envisaged in our Business Plan, we take a proactive approach in supporting economic growth and sustainable development, committing ourselves not only to the identification, but also to the direction and financing of investment projects”.

The agreement follows the inauguration of the African Center for Climate and Sustainable Development, which is located in Rome and was established through an agreement between the Italian Ministry of the Environment, FAO and UNDP to facilitate the exchange of information between G7 countries on initiatives in Africa, in order to increase support for sustainable development in Africa.
