"Two agreements will be signed tonight in the presence of the two prime ministers", the Italian one Matteo Renzi and the Chinese one Li Keqiang.
This was announced by the president of Cdp, Franco Bassanini, referring to the agreement between the Cassa and China development bank (Cdb) and that between the Italian strategic fund (Fsi) and China investment corporation (Cic). The estimated value for the first agreement is around 3 billion euros, while for the second we are talking about 1 billion euros according to sources collected by Reuters.
Bassanini declined to provide further details on the agreements that will be signed in the evening. “We continue to have interests not only from the Chinese, but also from other European countries. There are agreements in an advanced state, not yet finalized. They are funding and co-financing agreements,” he concluded.
