Cdp-Assoconfidi: 500 million ceiling for SMEs

Cdp-Assoconfidi: 500 million ceiling for SMEs

Cdp has signed an agreement with Assoconfidi, the association that brings together the federations of Confidi issued by trade organizations in the sectors of industry, commerce, crafts, agriculture and cooperation. The agreement provides for regulating access to the "confidi plafond", a 500 million euro fund with a duration of 7 years aimed at to companies with fewer than 250 employees.

"The funding ceiling will be used by the Confidi to support access to credit for small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, through the granting of new loans guaranteed by the Guarantee Fund for SMEs", explains Cdp in a note.

The instrument envisages uniform contracts and a standardized pricing method for all parties involved in the agreement, with the obligation to use the liquidity to support SMEs within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of disbursement of the CDP funding.

“In the national entrepreneurial panorama, where over 95% of companies have a turnover of less than 5 million euros, even smaller companies can benefit from our support, through the supervised Confidi, as envisaged in the 2019 Business Plan- 2021. With this in mind, the agreement with Assoconfidi allows us to further expand our presence in the area and to be even closer to the entrepreneurial fabric of the country" declared Nuncio Tartaglia, head of the Cdp Imprese Division.

“The agreement with CDP goes in the hoped-for direction of supporting businesses through Confidi, also in the light of the new regulations recently introduced by the Government. In particular, given the expansion of operations also on direct loans, being able to count on such wide-ranging public resources is extremely useful in this very delicate moment in which SMEs - which have been most affected by the economic crisis triggered by the Coronavirus - need greater liquidity.” he has declared Gianmarco Dotta, president of Assoconfidi.
