Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) announces that the platform for the advance of payments of the Public Administration accrued up to 31 December 2018 is operational as of today. CDP will provide its contribution for the payment of certain, liquid and collectible debts - relating to administrations, supplies, contracts and obligations for professional services - both of the regions and autonomous provinces (and of the respective bodies of the National Health Service), and of the municipalities, provinces and metropolitan cities.
Thanks to this initiative, it will be possible to offer concrete support to local authorities and, as also envisaged in the new CDP Business Plan, generate a positive impact for the economic fabric and local communities.
The new measure is able to provide an immediate and effective response to the needs of all the subjects involved: businesses, the central budget and local authorities. In particular, the companies will obtain the liquidation of their credit towards the Entities, without having to incur any ancillary costs; the central budget will not be impacted on public finance balances; the Institutions will benefit from a finite variable rate, currently equal to 0,67%, lower than that envisaged by Directive 2011/7/EU (ECB reference rate + 8%).
With the new tool, which adds to the services offered by SACE FCT for the disposal of receivables, the CDP group expands its integrated offer of solutions in support of companies supplying the Public Administration. Furthermore, the measure in support of the Advance payment joins the traditional medium-long term loans for investments and treasury advances in favor of smaller local entities.
