Cdp: 800 million for research, internationalization and strategic infrastructures

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (Cdp) has approved new operations for over 800 million euros in support of internationally recognized Italian companies. These funds are intended to finance projects aimed at sustainable innovation, the internationalization of companies and the development of strategic infrastructures for Italy.

Sustainable innovation and internationalization of companies

The Board of Directors of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has approved financial operations, also in collaboration with other financial institutions, for support investment plans in internationalization, innovation, research and sustainability of companies active in key sectors of the Italian economy. Initiatives have also been adopted to encourage the growth of Italian Small and Medium Enterprises, promoting access to credit through alternative finance tools already consolidated thanks to the collaboration between CDP, Regions and regional financial institutions.

Green light then for financing for the creation and strengthening of strategic infrastructures in the energy sector, focusing on increasing the efficiency of plants, the adoption of renewable sources and the improvement of existing structures.

Commitment to local PAs

Cdp reiterated its commitment to supporting public administrations in the area, authorizing the extension of the suspension of payment of mortgage instalments granted to local authorities affected by the earthquakes in Central Italy in 2016 and 2017, until the 2024 financial year.
