Mediobanca board of directors: Della Valle and two independent women are on the way

Wind of change in Mediobanca. At the end of October the Board of Directors of the Bank will expire and the shareholders are already working to complete the list of new names. Above all, the possible entry of Diego Della Valle and the expansion of the female component are holding the court in these hours.

If the confirmation of Renato Pagliaro as president and of Alberto Nagel as CEO, and in general of the managerial team within the board of directors, is taken for granted, sources close to the situation judge only "possible" the entry into Piazzetta Cuccia of the entrepreneur from the Marches leader of Tod's , which recently he rounded up his share to 0,48% and has the right to purchase another 12,2 million shares. In the last year Della Valle has been the protagonist of the financial news, in particular with the criticisms of the management of the RCS group, which targeted Cesare Geronzi and Giovanni Bazoli, with some distinctions in favor of the latter.

The entry of two new female figures as independent members is also being studied, one in group B of industrial partners, the other in group C of French partners. However, there are no indications on possible candidates. In the background, the by now obvious changes in the geography of the syndicate pact which expires at the end of the year with the possibility of early termination at the end of the month. The pact assembly will be held in the afternoon on Wednesday 21, which will be preceded by a meeting of the board. In the morning, the BoD will examine the accounts for the 2010-2011 financial year.
