Cattolica postpones the deadline of the capital increase

Cattolica Insurance postpones to 31 July the deadline for the execution of the second part of the capital increase approved on 4 August by the Board of Directors. The transaction – requested directly by the Insurance Supervisory Institute (IVASS) – is worth a total of half a billion euros, of which 200 million yet to be launched with the second tranche.

In a note, the company specifies that the BoD, "acknowledging the forthcoming corporate obligations that are reflected in the content of the information prospectus, has resolved to postpone the deadline, previously informing the Supervisory Authorities".

The first tranche of the increase, amounting to 300 million, had already been underwritten in recent months by Generali, which thus rose to 24,4% of Cattolica.
