Cattolica focuses on the hotel sector: it owns the Royal Carlton in Bologna

The Venetian insurance company, through the subsidiary Cattolica Immobiliare, strengthens its position in the hotel sector with the first acquisition in Bologna, after the Nhow Hotel in Milan in 2016 and the NH Leonardo da Vinci Hotel in Rome in 2017.

Cattolica Immobiliare, through the Euripide Real Estate Fund (100% owned by the Cattolica Group) strengthens its presence in the hotel world and after the recent acquisitions in Milan and Rome, has added a large Business Hotel in the center of Bologna to its portfolio of hotels. The hotel is the Hotel Royal Carlton in Bologna (4 stars, over 200 rooms) and the operation, carried out through the fund managed by Finint Investments SGR, has a value of 32.890.000 euros.

The investment marks the debut of the Venetian insurance company in the real estate market of the Emilian capital and aims to consolidate Cattolica's presence in the hospitality sector with the third purchase in 3 years after the Nhow Hotel in Milan in 2016 and the NH Leonardo da Vinci Hotel in Rome in 2017 (both managed by the international NH Hotels chain and owned by the same Fund).

In accordance with the guidelines of the Industrial Plan 2018-2020, Cattolica Immobiliare has therefore selected the investment opportunity for further improve the geographical diversification of the portfolio, focusing on a city that has recorded excellent performance in terms of growth in attendance in recent years, with a strong foreign component, also by virtue of an exhibition center and an internationally attractive industrial fabric.

The hotel, leased by the listed Monrif group, is located between the historic center and the railway station and has a Convention Center and a garage with over 200 parking spaces that make the structure a point of reference for the city of Bologna.
