World Convenience in the crosshairs of the Antitrust. The Competition and Market Guarantor Authority has started an investigation against Iris Mobili, owner of the Mondo Convenienza brand, for illicit conduct during the delivery and assembly of furniture and also in after-sales services.

Convenience World: the reasons for the Antitrust investigation

The Antitrust would have received many reports from consumers from which it would emerge that Mondo Convenienza "would deliver non-compliant products, defective, damaged, not corresponding to the purchase order, with missing pieces or incorrect measurements".

Several problems have also been reported on the mounting not correct which would prevent the normal use of the products. “Furthermore, the company, in response to consumer complaints regarding these issues, did not provide timely and appropriate assistance support for their solution and would have hindered the provision of the guarantee of conformity", continues the Authority.

Inspection at the Iris Mobili headquarters

Today - the authority continues - the Authority's officials carried out their work an inspection at the administrative headquarters of the company Iris Mobili Srl with the help of the Special Antitrust Unit of the Guardia di Finanza.
After the Antitrust announcement came the reaction of theNational Union of Consumers, who commented positively on the opening of the investigation: “Let there be clarity immediately. The product must always conform to that requested by the consumer and it is essential that the buyer is promptly assisted in the event of defects or problems. The rights on the guarantee of conformity are sacrosanct and cannot be hindered in any way, perhaps with various excuses and by scrambling", said the president of UNC Massimiliano Dona.
