Giovanni Gorno Tempini, Chief Executive Officer of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, 70% controlled by the Treasury, presented i 2011 accounts. The historic company has mobilized resources for over 16 billion in the past year and the profit reached 1,61 billion euros.
The total dividends will, however, be equal to 371 million euro against 700 million last year: 259 million will end up in the Treasury, while the remaining 111 million will go to the banking foundations that control the remaining 30% of the CDP.
The company's total assets amount to 273,5 billion and loans to banks and customers to 98,5 billion. Also growing shareholders' equity, which went from 13,72 billion in 2010 to 14,46 billion with which it closed 2011.
