The election of the Vice-President of the Chamber, a position for which the PDL was running Daniela Santanchè, will be postponed. This was decided by the conference of group leaders of Montecitorio, accepting the request of the majority parties. Now the Montecitorio room will still have to vote to postpone the calendar. The assembly must express itself by show of hands.
Daniela Santanchè wrote on Twitter: "With this majority everything is postponed, nothing is decided". Between Pd, Pdl and Civic Choice there is an agreement to postpone the knot, in order to try to get out of the impasse caused by the name not shared by all of Daniela Santanché. "Is it possible to present alternative candidates when the positions to be elected are clearly destined?" said Renato Brunetta, the PDL group leader in the Chamber. “Today's – he continued – is not a new election but a top-up: we are replacing Lupi, the Pd replaces a secretary of the Chamber who became undersecretary. This is why we will ask President Boldrini a procedural and regulatory question: whether it is correct that other forces other than these compete in a sort of secret vote".
