Formigoni case: assets seized for 49 million

The Formigoni case explodes. At the request of the Milan prosecutor's office, the investigating judge Paolo Guidi today ordered the seizure of assets for 49 million euros attributable to the former president of the Lombardy Region. Seals have also been placed on a villa in Sardinia and on other properties belonging to the former governor, now a senator of the Nuovo Centro-Right, and on all his current accounts except one. The figure would be the "price" of the corruption in the Maugeri case disputed against Formigoni and his friend Alberto Perego.

As part of the investigation into the Pavia foundation, Roberto Formigoni had already been remanded to trial, like Perego and the presumed intermediaries Pierangelo Daccò and Antonio SimoneMarch 3: the "Celeste" is accused of conspiracy and corruption. The reaction was not long in coming: “I have never owned nor do I own a house in Sardinia – said Formigoni -. It appears on one of my two checking accounts one asset of 18 euros and 20 cents, on the other a liability of 75 thousand euros. My three cars are: a 2012 Alfa Mito for personal use, a 2009 Panda and a 2008 Multipla used by my collaborators”.

“The real estate properties – concluded the Lombard politician – are: a micro apartment on the outskirts of Sanremo of 36 square meters and three apartments in Lecco of a total of 400 square meters, which were inherited from my parents. I share ownership of all these properties with my two brothers”
