Home, the demand is growing: Milan and Turin in the lead

According to the data released today by Istat from a notary source, in 2015 the real estate market grew for the second consecutive year, with an increase in the sale and purchase of real estate units of +5,2% (625.305 in total). This trend was driven by the residential sector, with an increase of 5,7%.

This trend was also confirmed by the survey carried out by Casa.it (www.casa.it), which at the end of 2015, compared to 2014, recorded an increase in the demand for housing of +3,9%.

If 2015 therefore closed with a positive sign, what happens in the first four months of 2016?

Casa.it's analysis confirms and reinforces this market growth trend. In April 2016, compared to last year, the demand for housing grew by 8,5% and the increase involves all the provincial capitals. With reference to metropolitan cities alone, the most "dynamic" is Milan (+4,3%). Followed by Turin (+3,7%), Genoa (+3,5%), Naples and Florence (+3,3%), Rome (+3,2%), Bologna (+2,7%) and Palermo ( +2,6%).
