Tax bills: another postponement in sight for payments

The Government is thinking of including a new postponement for notifications of over 35 million tax records frozen due to the Covid emergency in the Extension Decree of the next Council of Ministers

Tax bills: another postponement in sight for payments

Tax records: extension in sight. Still. Based on the current rules, from XNUMX May the Revenue Agency - Collection should resume notifications of documents, suspended since the beginning of the Covid emergency. In all, the documents accumulated in the tax archives, including notices and tax records, are approximately 35 million. According to the latest rumors, however, the Government is thought to launch yet another postponement. The postponement could come with an Extensions decree, to be approved this week in the Council of Ministers. Attention: at the moment we are only talking about rumors, there is no certainty.

NOT ONLY TAX PAYMENTS: PREU, IRAP, TARI

The decree, however, would not only concern tax returns, but also other tax deadlines on the agenda for the end of April, i.e. the Single tax levy (paid by the gaming concessionaires), as well as the down payment IRAP (which last year it had been cancelled by the relaunch decree) and the first installment of the Tari on waste (there is talk of a postponement to 30 June).

DRIVING EXAMS

The same provision could also lengthen the time for completion of the driving exams, extending until 31 December 2021 the validity of the pink sheet for those who applied in 2020.

IDENTITY DOCUMENTS

Extension in sight also for the validity of the identification and identity documents: for those that expire by April 30 of this year, the terms should be postponed to September 30, 2021.

SMART WORKING

Finally, the smart working. The possibility of continuing with remote working should be extended "until the definition of the smart working discipline by collective agreements and, in any case, no later than 30 September 2021". In this case, the extension corrects the rule contained in the relaunch decree.
