Carrefour, profit more than tripled in 2012: 1,233 billion

Excellent quarter for Carrefour, the large-scale retail giant that also operates in Italy with over 20 employees. The French group closed 2012 with revenues of 76,8 billion euros, up 0,9% on 2011, and with a net income of 1,233 billion, more than tripled from 371 million a year earlier. The group reduced its net debt by 2,6 billion to 4,3 billion euros. The board has decided to propose a dividend of €0,58 per share. And the Paris is rewarding the performance: +2,88% at opening.
