Dear bills: Generali adheres to the Sace Guarantee for the installment payment of energy costs for SMEs

General Insurance adheres to guarantee made available by SACE to face the dear bills of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Le SMEs, who will comply with the requirements, will thus have the possibility of deferring energy bill payments up to 24 months or up to 36 months as the last one allows Quater Aid Decree.

The goal is to contain the negative economic effects deriving from the increase in the prices of energy supplies.

It also adheres to the Convention Cattolica Insurance, a company of the Generali Group.

Sace guarantee

La Sace guarantee, counter-guaranteed by the Italian State, allows the release of insurance coverage, in the form of bail bonds, in favor of companies that consume electricity and natural gas, promoting theelongation of the terms of bill payment energy up to 24 months which, thanks to the recent Decree Law "Aiuti Quater", could reach up to 36 months.

La agreement between Generali and Sace provides for the release, by the subsidiary of the MEF, of a 90% guarantee the insurance commitments relating to guarantees issued by Generali in favor of energy-consuming companies, in relation to invoices for energy consumption.

Businesses will thus be facilitated in obtaining coverage for credits claimed by electricity and gas suppliers and greater deferred payments.

The guarantees will be granted and managed by Sace according to the procedures set out in the Convention outline, defined with collaboration of ANIA, the National Association of Insurance Companies representing operators in the insurance market and published on sace website.

Sace confirms the commitment to want to be alongside Italian companies through a wide range of tools and solutions useful for tackling high energy costs and ensuring continuity of economic and business activities, with particular attention to SMEs.
