Carmignac Management, a major European player in the financial asset management industry, announces the appointment of independent directors, such as John the Baptist of Franssu, president of the company Incipit, specialized in strategic consultancy, former president of EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association), and of David Lodge, former manager at Carmignac Gestion.

Until the end of October 2011, Jean-Baptiste de Franssu assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at Invesco Europe, participating as a member of the Management Committee of Invesco Mondo. David Loggia joined Carmignac Gestion in 2003 as European Equity Analyst. In 2005, he was promoted to co-manager of the Carmignac Grande-Europe fund, a position he held until May 2011. Previously, David Loggia worked at BT Funds Management in Sydney as an Analyst for US and European equities.

“As part of its organic growth and international development, Carmignac Gestion attaches great importance to reinforcing the governance of its Board of Directors, through the presence of various independent directors with long experience in the asset management or consultancy sector assets,” he says Eric Helderlé, Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted that Jean-Baptiste de Franssu is providing the Board of Directors with his vision of the financial industry and the pan-European challenges, both at the regulatory level and in the perspective of a long-term promotion of open architecture and independent distribution. David Loggia's entry into the Board of Directors also confirms the long-term commitment of the company's equity managers.”
