Cariparma-Crédit Agricole and Confagricoltura, partners for access to credit

Cariparma-Crédit Agricole and Confagricoltura signed today a national agreement aimed at facilitating agricultural and agri-food companies in accessing credit and in carrying out growth and development projects. The partnership was signed in the presence of Ariberto Fassati, Chairman of the Cariparma Crédit Agricole Group, by Hughes Brasseur, Deputy General Manager of the Banking Group, and Mario Guidi, President of Confagricoltura.

As is known, companies in the agricultural sector are not required to prepare public financial statements and, consequently, to correctly assess their creditworthiness from an economic and patrimonial point of view, some information is needed to supplement the documentation produced.

By signing the agreement, Cariparma Crédit Agricole will be able to make use of the documentation made available by Agricheck, a 100% subsidiary of Confagricoltura.

“This agreement – observed the President of Confagricoltura, Mario Guidi – creates synergies with the Cariparma Crédit Agricole Group, through dedicated products, accompanied by more specialized assistance and consultancy services, i.e. closer to the needs of member companies, supporting them in their consolidation and development projects, with specific financial products. Through Agricheck we offer companies professional support in evaluating their investment projects, to better present them to the bank in order to obtain credit. Our goal is to get the agri-food sector back to growth and restart investments.”

“This partnership bears witness to the Group's attention to a key sector for us such as the agricultural-agro-food sector – he says Hughes Brasseur, Deputy General Manager of the Cariparma Crédit Agricole Group. Strengthened by the know-how that comes from the French parent company, leader in the sector, we offer our customers specific consultancy through dedicated structures, processes and services. Agreements with trade associations and local bodies are the cornerstone of our commitment and the national partnership with Confagricoltura will further enhance our ability to respond to the needs of Italian farms, allowing us, just on the eve of Expo 2015 , to help “made in Italy” food to hook up to the recovery.”

“Our institute was born and historically developed in the main Italian agri-food district – he declares Ariberto Fassati, Chairman of the Cariparma Crédit Agricole Group. The closeness to the values of the land and industriousness has always characterized the Group I represent. Today's agreement reaffirms the attention towards a sector that continues to rank among the excellences at an international level. We intend to accompany the Italian agri-food sector in its growth by setting ourselves the ambitious goal of becoming a reference bank in the sector, just like our Parent Company Crédit Agricole has done in France.”
