The Cassa di Risparmio di Genova Foundation is working to define the list of candidates for the new board of directors of the bank. At the moment, a clear position has not emerged on the first two names on the list to be submitted to the members, who would go on to cover the positions of president and vice president of the institute. The indication of Piergiorgio Alberti as the institute's future number one seems to hang in the balance.
"We are thinking about alternatives - reports a source - which may be internal or external to the current outgoing board: the Bank of Italy's report is so fresh as to require careful evaluation".
The decisive request for a replacement at the top of the Ligurian institute contained in the inspectors' report seems to have reopened the game on the team of potential administrators to be presented at the shareholders' meeting at the end of September.
According to what was reported by some Ligurian media, a substantial agreement would have been found on the names of the candidate directors Piergiorgio Alberti, Alessandro Repetto and Luigi Gastaldi (all three outgoing) and on the indication of Evelina Christillin and Elena Vasco already present on the board of Carige Italia, but the definition of the leaders has not yet taken place.
