Peter Montani is the new CEO of Banca Carige. The appointment – widely expected by the markets – was made official in the afternoon by the bank's board of directors. This was stated by two sources close to the dossier quoted by the Reuters agency.
The new manager should take office next week, "probably as early as Monday 4 November". To make room on the Board for Montani, who is leaving the leadership of Banca Popolare di Milano, the director Luigi Gastaldi resigned, moving to Carige Italia.
Immediately after the news spread, Banca Carige's share gained 1,44 on Piazza Affari.
