Carige: Capital Investment Trust (Mincione) enters with 5,428%

Capital Investment Trust, through its subsidiaries Pop12 and Time & Life, has acquired 3 billion shares of Banca Carige, thus acquiring 5,428% of the bank's capital. The Italian financier based in London, Raphael Mincione (shareholder of Bpm before the merger with Banco and who is not currently among the relevant shareholders of Banco Bpm), chairman of Time & Life, commented on the operation: “Although he has lived outside Italy for 35 years, this remains the my country and I am proud to be able to continue investing here. Carige is a historic bank, deeply rooted in the area, although it is now in a complex phase. I am convinced not only that the Bank has great potential and therefore could be an investment opportunity for us, but also that a recovery scenario is opening up in Italy that the international financial community can only watch with interest” .
