Carige, another week of passion: opens at -38%

The title of the Ligurian bank is once again traded on the Stock Exchange but immediately sinks to 0,09 euros per share and goes into a volatility auction.

The news of the capital increase that has been distributed, thanks to the agreement with the consortium of banks made up of Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Barclays, is not enough for Carige to avoid yet another crash on the Stock Exchange: readmitted today to trading on Piazza Affari after two sessions of suspension, the Ligurian bank opened by immediately losing 38% at 0,09 euro per share, and immediately ending up in a volatility auction.

The launch of the 560 million euro capital increase is scheduled for Wednesday, which will offer shareholders the option to subscribe for 60 new shares at 0,01 euro each for each share held: at current values, the stock market prices they express a price of the ex-right Cariges of 0,0113, already almost in line with the issue price of the new securities.
