The Stellantis group strengthens car sharing. The company born from the merger between FCA and PSA, through the dedicated company Free2Move, announced the acquisition of Share Now, a specialized brand controlled by a joint venture established in 2019 between Mercedes e bmw. The details on the price paid are not yet known, but the agreement – ​​which adds to the previous acquisition of Opel Rent – ​​allows the sharing mobility company of the group led by Carlos Tavares to further strengthen its position in Italy and in Europe. adding 14 cities in the Old Continent with more than 10 cars and over 3,4 million customers. On the eve of Stellantis quarterly accounts, the market appreciates the move and the title won the pink jersey of the Ftse Mib with +2,59% at €12,91.

According to a press release from the group, the operation will contribute to the achievement of the ambitious goal Dare Forward 2030 plan of Stellantis which plans to grow its mobility services to net revenues of 2,8 billion euros with a first step of 700 million euros in 2025.

The completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including compliance with antitrust requirements.

The acquisition of Share Now adds to the recent one of Opel Rent.
