The Enjoy fleet becomes electric with the introduction of city car XEV YOYO, the ultra-compact that also brings the so-called battery swap to Italy: when the battery is flat, it is directly replaced. And for its mobility revolution in full electric version, the car sharing by Eni starts from Turin. In the coming months, Enjoy electric car sharing will be extended to other cities where the service is available, starting with Milan, Bologna and Florence and then landing later also in Rome. The 100 brand new lime green XEV YOYO join the fleet already available in the city, made up of 300 cars and cargo vehicles. Furthermore, thanks to theagreement between Eni and XEV – car manufacturer founded in Turin in 2018 – rentals can be started and ended anywhere within the Enjoy coverage area, without predefined pick-up or drop-off points. As far as refueling is concerned, the XEV YOYO city cars allow customers to move around in total freedom because they are always available with a battery charge of more than 30%.
"Reducing polluting emissions, decreasing the circulation of private vehicles by favoring public transport and the use of shared vehicles are objectives for giving substance to that intelligent, responsible and interconnected mobility that we have in mind", he explained Chiara Foglietta, councilor for mobility and transport of Turin.
Electric car sharing: how Enjoy works
rent Enjoy vehicles you need to download the app available in the Android, iOS and Huawei stores. After registering, you can search, view and book the vehicles available in the surrounding area or in the area of interest, or rent an Enjoy vehicle that is along your route by entering the license plate number and the code visible on the windshield into the app. Once the vehicle has been reached and unlocked, the entire rental takes place through the smartphone, until arrival at the destination. At the end of the trip it is possible to view the summary of the expense incurred for the rental.
All Enjoy vehicle rental rates are available online. For XEV YOYO city cars, as for the other cars in the fleet, the rate is 0,29 euros per minute.
The XEV YOYO city car
XEV YOYO is a fully electric city car with a maximum speed of 80 km/h and a range of up to 150 km: ideal for moving around historic city centres. As far as refueling is concerned, as well as for traditional recharging at the plug-in columns, these cars are set up for battery swapping (the replacement of flat batteries with charged ones which can be done in a few minutes), for which they are 8 Eni service stations set up in Turin. At the beginning, Enjoy will always take care of refueling with battery swapping.
The XEV YOYOs of the Enjoy fleet are provided through a long-term rental service by SIFÀ, the Italian Company Fleet Company - BPER Banca Group.
