Car incentives 2024, the latest news: bonuses on used cars and Euro 5 scrapping

The incentives on used cars andinclusion of Euro 5 in scrapping for low incomes. These are the news announced by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, in an interview with the magazine Four wheels.

“The decree provides that natural persons who purchase, even in financial location, used cars with emissions up to 160 g/km of CO2, with price up to 25 thousand euros, a will be recognized contribution of 2 thousand euros if a classy car is scrapped at the same time up to Euro 4” explained Urso.

Incentives for electric cars

Il spending limit for electric vehicles is confirmed to 35.000 euros plus VAT. In assenza of an old man model to be scrapped, purchasing a car with CO2 emissions between 0 and 20 grams per kilometer guarantees 6.000 euro bonus (or 7.500 euros with ISEE less than 30.000 euros). If you scrap a vehicle up to Euro 2, the incentive is 11.000 euros; up to Euro 3 it drops to 10.000 euros, and up to Euro 4 the contribution is 9.000 euros.

For hybrids, discounts of up to 8 thousand euros

Le plug-in hybrid cars (with emissions from 21 to 60 g/km of CO2) must have a maximum price of 45.000 euros plus VAT. Without scrapping, there is a contribution of 4.000 euros. If you scrap a vehicle up to Euro 2, the incentive increases to 8.000 euros; for the scrapping of a Euro 3, 6.000 euros are recognized, and for a Euro 4 the incentive is 5.500 euros.

Incentives also for thermal cars

bonuses are available also for the 'purchase of cars with combustion engines with a spending limit of up to 35.000 euros plus VAT. There are no contributions without scrapping. If you scrap a Euro 0, 1 or 2 model, you are entitled to an incentive of 3.000 euros as long as the car you buy has CO2 emissions between 61 and 135 grams per kilometre. For a Euro 3 the incentive drops to 2.000 euros, and for a Euro 4 it is 1.500 euros.

The incentive for used cars is coming

More discounts with an ISEE under 30 thousand euros

For families with a ISEE less than 30.000 euros, the contributions increase. Without scrapping, the incentive reaches 7.500 euros for the purchase of an electric car, while by scrapping a vehicle from Euro 0 to Euro 2, the incentive reaches 13.750 euros. With a scrapped Euro 3 car, the contribution drops to 12.500 euros, and with a Euro 4 car to 11.250 euros.

For the purchase of a hybrid car without scrapping, the discount is 5.000 euros; scrapping a vehicle up to Euro 2, the incentive is 10.000 euros, drops to 7.500 euros with a Euro 3 and to 6.875 euros with a Euro 4. And today's news is that they will also be able to scrap Euro 5 cars.
