The situation has partially improved compared to June and July, when the unexpected recovery in demand had displaced most carriers and airports, which were left short-staffed after two years of the pandemic. August 2022 air strikes: dates and flights at risk

Thousands of flights were also canceled in Germany with the ground crew of Lufthansa arms crossed for a long time. If the situation is not resolved, many other flights will be cancelled. Employees are asking for pay raises on their contract. Disruption also expected in the UK, with sales of short-haul tickets suspended for a week aside British Airways. Even in this circumstance the British Airways pilots consider their salaries excessively low.
The tourist season has started very well, even if late. But there are winter clouds on the horizon, some concern mainly because of fuel surcharges e of inflation.
