Cellars open during the harvest for Winelovers during the most intense and fascinating period of the wine year. The initiative promoted by Italian Wine Tourism Movement after Cantine Aperte and Calici di Stelle, close the summer season in style by inaugurating the autumn season, the most symbolic and traditional phase of wine production arriving with the harvest, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to participate in this moment of celebration learning techniques and secrets from the expert harvesters.

Then there will be the numerous activities proposed by the participating wineries, which never miss the opportunity to entertain the public with cultural initiatives and more.”
Guided tastings, lunches and dinners in the vineyard but also promotion of responsible and sustainable consumption of wine
Among the appointments proposed by the wineries associated with MTV guided tastings, lunches and dinners in the vineyard, exhibitions and then music, shows and much more. But that is not all. After the great success during the summer nights of Calici di Stelle the food and wine calendar also continues, with the celestial bodies that will continue to dance in the sky during the harvest period. To report the night of the Harvest Moon, Saturday 10 September, in which one bright full moon will give magical moments in the nights in the vineyard. Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October the sky will be the stage for a unique show, the Meteor Shower, also scheduled for Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October: an authentic meteor shower that will enchant the evenings of Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia. Not to be missed is the Partial Eclipse of the Sun, Tuesday 25 October, in addition to the other appointments with stars, planets and satellites.

Like all the events organized this year by the Movimento Turismo del Vino, also Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia will promote responsible and sustainable consumption of wine thanks to the partnership with Wine in Moderation and Unione Italiana Vini. The goal of the synergy is to encourage the public, especially the younger ones, to adopt a cultural and sensitive approach to wine.
The Movimento Turismo del Vino Association is a non-profit organization and includes over 800 of the most prestigious wineries in Italy, selected on the basis of specific requirements, first of all that of the quality of wine tourism hospitality. The aim of the association is to promote the culture of wine through visits to production sites. On the one hand, the Movement wants to make the activity and products of the participating wineries better known to wine tourists, and on the other, to offer an example of how to do business in compliance with traditions, environmental protection and of quality agriculture.
