Borsalino and Cannavacciulo: two excellences of Made in Italy in difficulty on the same territory, Piedmont, respectively in Alessandria and Turin.
CANNAVACCIULO AND FROZEN FOODS
The Cannavacciuolo Bistrot Turin, opened last summer behind the Gran Madre, owned by the famous starred chef, also known for being one of the four judges of "Masterchef" and the face of "Cucine da Incubo", underwent an audit by the Nas carabinieri. What the military of the antisophistication unit discovered does not help the reputation of the restaurant: there was no indication of frozen products on the menu.
Two complaints received from the Bistrot (but not from Cannavacciulo). The first against the director Giuseppe Savoia, the second against Cinzia Pimatesta, wife of Cannavacciulo and manager of the company. For both, it is hypothesized a fraud in commerce. In addition to the complaints, a fine of 1.500 euros was imposed for the lack of the necessary indications to trace some raw materials.
“An asterisk was missing. That food in the fridge was for us. Stories like this make you want to leave." says Cannavacciuolo.
On raw materials, the chef explained that “The individual supplier files on the restaurant registers have not been rewritten. Evidently in the last three days no one had yet had the time ”, Cannavacciuolo justifies himself.
BORSALINO: ALESSANDRIA IS MOBILIZED
After various vicissitudes, the historic hat company ran into bankruptcy. But Alexandria, the city that gave birth to the famous company, is not there: "Everyone wearing a hat for Borsalino"
Citizens have decided to demonstrate in front of the brand's boutique with the famous hat on their heads. The idea was born on social networks and immediately met the favor of the whole city. “The Alexandrians for Borsalino”. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday 23rd at 11 at number 20 of Corso Roma in Alessandria.
“A short break during Christmas shopping, even just a ride. This may be the answer to the news of the bankruptcy of the brand born in 1857 in Alessandria. A gesture of solidarity towards the workers: we stand together to fight the economic crisis of the Piedmontese city. Do you have a Borsalino hat? Wear it on Saturday! You do not have it? We are waiting for you all the same". This is what we read in the invitation.
