SERIE A CHAMPIONSHIP – The Milanese are back: Inter overwhelming and Milan corsair. Naples ko

The harvest of the goal. Incredible Sunday for the Milanese, capable of winning by scoring avalanche of goals, albeit in extremely different matches, but also for Napoli, beaten at home by Chievo and back into the abyss. The result is that Milan fly to the top of the standings together with Roma and Juventus, with whom, moreover, they will face next Saturday in the first big match of the season, that Inter strongly relaunches their candidacy for the noble areas, that the Neapolitans add new pieces of a terrible season so far. The craziest and funniest match was undoubtedly that of the Tardini, where Parma and Milan managed to give away 9 goals, as well as half a heart attack to their respective coaches. Sparkling match from the first minutes with the Rossoneri taking the lead in the 25th minute with Bonaventura sent onto the field by Inzaghi in place of the injured Torres. Not even the time to celebrate and Parma equalized with Cassano, good at exploiting De Sciglio's uncertainty with his head (27').

Milan suffers in defense but the quality of the attack is absolute also because Menez is in a state of grace. In the 37th minute he kicks off the action which leads to Honda's goal, in the 45th minute he gets a penalty (foul by Lucarelli who deserved the red card) and converts it. Loot in the pocket? Not a chance! In the 51st minute Parma got back into the match with Felipe (2-3) and shortly after Bonera was sent off for a second yellow card (hand touch almost on the area line) definitively upsetting the tactical script. Milan seemed to be on the ropes but in the 69th minute De Jong uprooted a ball from Cassano's feet and beat Mirante after an unprecedented (for him of course) coast to coast. Safety distance restored only for 4', because in the 73' Lucarelli overtook Poli and beat Diego Lopez again.

In the 77th minute Parma remained in 10: Massa judged Felipe's intervention on Menez as a yellow card, thus restoring numerical parity. Beautiful game that reaches its climax in the 79th minute when the Frenchman, after hitting the crossbar, takes advantage of a mistake by Ristovski and freezes Mirante with a splendid back-heel. The emotions aren't over yet because shortly after Diego Lopez combines it big by smoothing out a comfortable back pass from De Sciglio for the most absurd of own goals. The goalkeeper also gets hurt and only stays on the pitch because Inzaghi has run out of substitutions, adding tons of spice to the final match. Parma tries in every way to reach the sensational draw but Milan, in one way or another, resists thus bringing home a victory that is worth gold.

Definitely quieter on Sunday than Inter buries poor Sassuolo with goals, hit once again by the Nerazzurri curse. In fact, it ended 7-0 at San Siro just like a year ago, when Mazzarri's men defeated the Emilians by the same score. Almost everyone participates in the goal festival (4 in the first half alone), but the man of the match palm goes rightfully to Icardi. The Argentine scores a signature hat-trick by showcasing a large part of his very rich repertoire: opportunism (in the 4th minute he snaps on the edge of offside and beats Consigli in two stages), right footed shot (around the far post in the 30th minute) and left footed running (in the 52nd minute with an assist from Kovacic). The Croatian is also on the shields, finally in the first center in Serie A (21', soft touch with the right winger) and Osvaldo (two easy goals in the 43rd and 72nd minute), as well as Dodò and Medel, highly applauded by the San Syrian. Glory also for Guarin, dusted off by Mazzarri after a whole summer on the market and immediately scored with a nice shot from distance (74'). Sassuolo? Simply disastrous but Inter's excellent performance remains and gives confidence and morale in view of the next commitments.

In short, everything that Napoli is missing, back in a state of crisis after the truce derived from the success against Genoa. The Azzurri badly needed to win in front of their fans, but Chievo, by now the official bete noire of the Neapolitans, took the three points. The match seemed to be going well when Giacomelli, in the 26th minute of the first half, whistled a sacrosanct penalty against Napoli for a foul by Cesar on Higuain. However, Pipita himself had it saved by the amazing Bardi and in less than half an hour Napoli found themselves from a possible 1-0 to a sensational 0-1. Indeed, in the 49th minute Maxi Lopez took advantage of Albiol's sleep, killing Rafael and an entire city. The Azzurri try in every way to get up but the pace is low, the ideas are few and confused and luck is busy elsewhere. Because Bardi stands in the way of Naples, capable of blocking everything possible and even something more. In short, nothing to do, Chievo conquered San Paolo leaving Benitez a truly nightmare week.
