SERIE A CHAMPIONSHIP – Juventus never give up: a jewel from Tevez beats Genoa

Never full. Other than tired legs or lack of stimuli, this Juventus only knows how to win, and moreover in a convincing way. Indeed, the 1-0 win over Genoa demonstrates, once again, the iron mentality of the leaders. Who quickly sobered up in Dortmund by immediately diving back into the safe haven of the championship, of which she has been the undisputed master for almost 4 years. The emblem of all this is Carlos Tevez, decisive just like in Germany, albeit with the taint of a missed penalty which spoiled his Sunday in part. But it doesn't matter: Juve has won again and the countdown towards the Scudetto continues at a frenetic pace.

“Congratulations to the boys and to the club, we have built an important and solid foundation – the praise of Allegri. – We are having an excellent season, we want to finish the championship in the best possible way and reach the semi-final of the Champions League. By winning the next two games we would have a big advantage, but we haven't won anything yet. Now we need to achieve the goals, then we will celebrate”. A lot of superstition and a touch of pragmatism, here is Allegri's recipe to continue the season in the best possible way. All the premises for a grand finale are there. The team is fine mentally and physically, and it also seems to have regained the wickedness of some time ago.

Beating Genoa wasn't easy and many expected a tired and satisfied Juve, instead the approach was the same as always, therefore a winner. The bianconeri conceded only one goal to the Ligurians (Niang in the 2') after which they no longer risked anything. And after a discrete territorial supremacy, here's the usual great play by Tevez: tight dribbling in the area and throwing a stone under the crossbar (25'). A beautiful goal that projects him back to the top of the top scorer. The advantage over his pursuers could even have increased if the Argentine, in the 62nd minute, had converted the penalty awarded by referee Di Bello for Roncaglia's foul on Pereyra.

Instead Lamanna, who came on a few minutes earlier for the injured Perin, sensationally hypnotized him by denying him the joy of scoring a brace. And so the final reserved some small worries, with the tired lady protecting the result and Genoa looking for the equalizer. He only touched him (Barzagli was very good at anticipating Perotti) and Juventus were thus able to celebrate their twentieth victory in the championship, the third in a row. Championship on ice and dream of Champions more and more alive. The season finale is approaching and the Lady still has a great desire to be the protagonist.
