Serie A championship: Juve conquers Carpi and goes just three points behind Inter

Another victory to continue the climb. Juventus conquers Carpi and thus treats itself to a very high altitude Christmas: the defeat of Inter, in fact, brings them to just 3 points from first place, an almost unthinkable result even just a month ago. With yesterday's win, the Bianconeri achieved their seventh consecutive victory, a very important roster which allowed them to recover points over all their competitors. The calendar then allows us to think that the streak is destined to last much longer: after the break, in fact, Juve will face Verona, Sampdoria and Udinese, before receiving Roma in the big match at the Stadium.

The moment is therefore very positive but woe to let your guard down: when the black and whites do they become vulnerable, as indeed yesterday's match demonstrated. In Modena we saw an alternating current team, capable of winning but with great effort, even too much considering the technical gap with Carpi. A matter of approach and concentration: the problems, in fact, came above all at the beginning and at the end.

“Up until the 85th minute we did well, then we made big matches – commented Allegri. – The boys must understand that the games are never completely over, against Frosinone we paid dearly for our distractions, but this time it went well. I hope it will teach us a lesson, maybe we will have an extra jolt to start 2016 in the best possible way”.

A little tiredness is understandable and physiological, especially at the end of a period in which Juve played (and won) every three days. Bonucci's performance is emblematic, returning for a day to the unedifying times of Delneri, when one wondered if he was suitable to wear the black and white shirt. In recent years the boy has shown that he can do it, but yesterday he ran into a bad day.

In the 15th minute Borriello aimed and jumped, to then find the corner to Buffon's left with a strong and precise right foot. The 1-0 Carpi woke Juve from its torpor: the rhythm rose and the technical values emerged in all their evidence. In the 18th minute Mandzukic tamed a dirty ball with elegance and threw it behind Belec with a volley, for the splendid 1-1 goal.

Supermario (he did) confirmed his moment of grace in the 41st minute: Evra's cross and the winning punch for Juventus overtaking. The advantage increased at the start of the second half with Pogba, very good at making the most of Marchisio's long ball (50'). Game over? Not at all. In full recovery, the Lady clamorously risked calling everything into question.

In the 92nd minute Bonucci (again) deflected a harmless ball into his goal and a minute later Lollo's defense lost, left free to kick a few meters from Buffon. Luckily for Juve, the attacker clicked in the worst possible way and the 3 points remained stuck to the black and white shirt. In the end, a very important victory remains for the standings, the umpteenth of this spectacular Juventus winter. Which brought the Lady back to compete for the top.
