Serie A championship, Inter and Milan: draws are not all the same

THE MILAN CHAMPIONSHIP - Inter got off to a bad start, conceded the goal from Bologna through Destro, but recovered through Perisic: it was 1-1 but the Kondogbia case broke out, sensationally replaced by De Boer after a series of sensational mistakes - Milan instead brought home a decent 0-0 from Florence where Ilicic misses a penalty and Donnarumma saves from Borja Valero

Serie A championship, Inter and Milan: draws are not all the same

One point for both but with different perspectives. Inter and Milan don't go beyond two draws with Bologna and Fiorentina but if the Rossoneri's can be considered a good result, it's not the same for the Nerazzurri, who are forced to deal with a whole series of regrets. Sure, even Montella's team can have its recriminations but the right result came out of the Franchi field, all things considered.

De Boer instead pays for the wrong start of his team, a dangerous constant (except for Empoli) that will have to be fixed, otherwise the championship of his team will always remain a dangerous ups and downs. The 1-1 draw at San Siro is the result of 20 dull moments by Inter, immediately capitalized on best by Bologna, who scored with the former Destro after just 14 minutes.

Taking note of the difficulties De Boer intervened with an important change: out Kondogbia, the main culprit of the goal conceded, in Gnoukouri. A move that paid off on the pitch but which officially opens the case relating to the Frenchman, who is increasingly a foreign body to the team.

“When a player doesn't want to understand… – glossed over the Dutchman. – I had talked to him for a long time before the race but if he doesn't want to listen to me… ”. The rejection is evident, as is the rift between the two: only time will tell if it will be recomposed or not. In any case, after taking the 0-1, Inter got down to business and equalized at the end of the first half (37') thanks to a splendid left-footed volley from Perisic, well served by Candreva.

In the second half the chances were flocked but Bologna, moreover dangerous in some restarts, withstood the blow well. Also because, for once, Icardi turned out to be a little cold in front of goal (his smooth ball in full stoppage time was sensational) and Ranocchia, finally author of a good performance, devoured the 2-1 header after the game was practically over.

Sunday without a win also for Milan, stopped at 0-0 by Paulo Sousa's Fiorentina. However, here the glass can be seen as half full, both due to the objective difficulty of the match and because, with chances in hand, the Rossoneri could have won but also lost.

The first part was all from the Viola brand and in the 22nd minute the match could have taken a very specific turn: it's a pity that Ilicic missed the first penalty of his Italian career by sending the ball to the post (still net of Calabria's foul on Borja Valero ).

After the scare, Milan woke up and the game has definitely changed. Fiorentina continued to play but the Rossoneri didn't just watch, on the contrary they ended up creating a series of very tempting chances.

If on the one hand it should be noted Donnarumma's super save on Borja Valero, on the other it must be said that Suso and Bacca literally came close to scoring and that in the final Luiz Adriano could have found him if Tomovic hadn't knocked him down just a step away from the box .

It was probably not a penalty (the images don't clarify 100% but the contact seems to take place just outside) but certainly a foul and expulsion, instead Orsato, incredibly, didn't whistle anything.

“I don't want to make a controversy because the culture of suspicion, unlike Sousa, doesn't belong to me – Montella's barb. – Fiorentina were superior to us in the first half, then in the second we were unable to take advantage of the opportunities we had. In the future, a little more courage will be needed but I'm happy, we have to carry on like this”.

The Rossoneri coach ended a very difficult week on paper with two victories (Sampdoria and Lazio) and a draw, all without conceding a goal. Indeed, given the premises, there is really no need to be picky.
