Serie A championship and transfer market: feverish end of August

Effervescent end of August for football: tomorrow the championship starts again with the first advances (Roma goes to Verona against Hellas and Lazio host Bologna) but it's feverish days on the market because all the big names are looking for the final blow – The goal it is the assault on Juve which, after having rejuvenated itself, will try to win the fifth Scudetto in a row

It's up to the Romans to inaugurate the new Serie A championship. The first to make their debut will be Roma at the Bentegodi where tomorrow afternoon they will face Hellas of the seasoned but always valid attacking duo Toni-Pazzini. Then, in the evening, it will be the turn of Lazio who host the Bologna of the former Delio Rossi strengthened in extremis by Mattia Destro who obviously dreams of a debut with goals.

The central theme of the championship that is about to begin is once again the assault on the primacy of Juve who have collected four league titles in a row and have no intention of abdicating. But this time the predictions are not obvious because Juve have lost sacred monsters such as Pirlo, Vidal, Tevez and must test the new ones, all very promising but worth seeing at work.

Furthermore, the rivals of the bianconeri have all strengthened: both the Milanese and Roma and they will attempt the great enterprise.

But together with the start of the Serie A championship, the last days of August will be animated by the final stages of the transfer market which promise to be sparkling because all the big names will try to hit the final blow to complete the squad and strengthen their chances of success.

These are still days of dreams but then, as always, the field will be the one to judge relentlessly.
