LEAGUE AND MARKET - Milan and Napoli smile, Inter disappoint, Atletico Madrid look for

Milan and Naples smile, Inter a little less. The first day of the championship saw Inzaghi and Benitez's men win three important points, albeit in rather different ways, while Mazzarri's men came out of Turin with a gray 0-0 draw. Above all, it's Milan who are rubbing their hands, either for the beautiful (and perhaps unexpected) victory over Lazio, or for the latest market news. In addition to Torres (presentation to the press scheduled for tomorrow at 19 pm), Van Ginkel has also arrived from Chelsea, a young midfielder accompanied by high expectations, and the surprises might not even end there.

Today Galliani will make a last minute attempt with Parma for Biabiany (offered in exchange by Zaccardo and Niang), a player who, given Inzaghi's tactical ideas, could really strengthen the squad. Yes, because Superpippo may also be a businessman in his manners and declarations but then, when it comes to taking the field, he plays football that is far from Berlusconi's dictates. Low defense and ferocious counterattacks, just like his friend (and mentor?) Mourinho and the results, at least for now, prove him right. Milan, who make their debut against Lazio, play well and are even devastating for an hour, as evidenced by the 3-0 run that makes San Siro's eyes roll up almost incredulous. Honda, Muntari and Menez clocked in also thanks to an excellent El Shaarawy, but in general it's the whole team that runs. Then Lazio comes out, which first shortens the distance (Alex's own goal), then could even get back into the game if it weren't for Diego Lopez who saves a penalty from Candreva in the 94th minute.

Festive evening also for Napoli, albeit with decidedly higher worries. After the debacle in Bilbao, the Azzurri are forced to win and in fact the match in Marassi starts right away. In the 3rd minute Callejon, one of the less brilliant players on the night of the Champions League, unlocks it with a right-footed volley, the house's trademark. But Genoa didn't fit in and in the 40th minute, after coming close to equalizing several times, they found it with Pinilla, who was very good at heading off and beating Rafael. In the second half Benitez raises the center of gravity and he tries to win in every way: in particular Mertens, Insigne and Higuain are very close to scoring but the ball does not want to enter. In the 95th minute, however, the man you don't expect takes care of it, that De Guzman who has just arrived from Villarreal: the midfielder snaps on the edge of offside and colds the innocent Perin. Sigh of relief for Benitez who today will be able to concentrate only on the transfer market. Yesterday Dzemaili and Pandev officially left for Galatasaray (3 million overall), today, Rafa dixit, someone else could leave.

On the other hand, those who have little to smile about are Inter, who came out of Turin with a draw that may be okay but which, all in all, represents a step backwards compared to what we saw in the summer. Of course, Toro is not Stjarnan, but surely it was reasonable to expect something more from a team capable of scoring 6 goals no later than four days ago. Instead Mazzarri opts once again for the "first don't take them" and the result is that his Inter create very little in front of goal: the only chances counted are a close shot by Osvaldo and one from distance by Hernanes. Also noteworthy are the first controversies of the season, the fault of Doveri and his rather poor refereeing. Very fiscal, not to say non-existent, the penalty awarded to Turin for a contact between Vidic and Quagliarella and only the unsurpassed Handanovic means that today we are talking about football and not refereeing. Vidic's expulsion should also be reviewed: the Serbian receives a red card for having applauded the match director but, reviewing the images, one gets the feeling that there was no irony in the gesture, only approval. In any case, Mazzarri hopes to console himself with the market, which could still offer some surprises. It all depends on Guarin: if Valencia raise their offer, Ausilio will be able to try Lavezzi or, more likely, Borini. No Serie A instead for Hernandez, officially purchased by Real Madrid. Juve accepts the defeat but today they will try everything on Falcao. The attacker wants to leave Monaco but the deal, for budgetary reasons, is only possible on loan. Hypothesis that, until now, the Monegasques have always rejected but on the last day of the market, as we know, everything can change. It closes at 23pm tonight: until then there is time to make the impossible come true.
