MILAN CHAMPIONSHIP – Inter is resurrected in Verona, Milan are being examined by Sampdoria

THEInter breathe, the Milan try to make sense of his season. Pre-derby round divided by the Milanese players, with the Nerazzurri winning ahead of Verona and the Rossoneri expected from the postponement (20.45 pm) against Sampdoria. In a week then it will be derby and who knows that, in addition to territorial supremacy, there may not be the Europa League area up for grabs. Much will depend on Inzaghi's team: if he manages to beat the blucerchiati he will shorten the table, also to the benefit of Inter.

That yesterday he had to win, without ifs and buts. He did it with a round result (0-3) which, however, does not tell the whole truth: Verona played it out and if Handanovic hadn't saved yet another penalty of the season (invented, moreover) things could have taken a very different turn fold. And then there are two big moles that make Mancini turn up his nose: Brozovic and Guarin, both warned, have been booked and will miss the derby. “The Colombian's yellow card is non-existent just like the penalty, but the Croatian's was there – explained the annoyed Nerazzurri coach. – I've never seen such a penalty, I wonder how you can give it. Regardless of the suspensions, we will try to beat Milan."

In any case, yesterday's evening remains a more than positive one. After a nightmare month and a half (three draws and two defeats, as well as elimination from the Europa League) Inter are back to winning ways and, coincidentally, they did so with the signatures of Icardi and Palacio. The two scored and scored: first Rodrigo for Mauro (tap on the sill in the 11th minute, protests from Hellas for Tachtsidis' presence on the ground), then Mauro for Rodrigo (48'). At that point, after an hour of control and good plays (above all Hernanes, his performance as playmaker was convincing), Inter holed up and ended up suffering the return of the Venetians. Who have come close to scoring several times, above all in the 77th minute: an alleged foul by Vidic on Greco and a penalty by Toni saved by Handanovic, just like in the first leg.

“We believe in Europe, you never know what can happen – the words of the goalkeeper. - My future? We will see, for now the club and my agent have not made any progress ”. The reference is to that contract expiring in a year that puts Inter at a crossroads: renewal or transfer? The second seems decidedly more probable given that Handanovic would like to play in the Champions League.

The same one that Sampdoria will try to win at the San Siro tonight. In front, however, there will be a Milan refreshed by two straight wins with Cagliari and Palermo and eager to get the third. It would be important for the standings, as well as for Inzaghi's future.

“I won't watch it until three or four days from the end – Superpippo glossed over at the press conference. – It will be a very important game, we will have to play it without anxiety, trying to impose our game. We want and must win, we know that otherwise we would go back two weeks." Milan know they are playing a lot, just like their coach. And the match, ironically, will see Mihajlovic face off who, according to the latest rumors, would be the first candidate to replace him.

“It's just bar talk, it makes me smile – glossed over Inzaghi. – Sinisa is a friend and her team has the points she deserves. We know it will be difficult, we will need an excellent Milan”. The coach will be able to count on both Bonaventura and Van Ginkel: the former has recovered from his ankle problem, the latter from knee inflammation. Inzaghi will therefore be able to count on a large part of the squad and seems determined to confirm the formation of Palermo, Poli for Van Ginkel aside. In defense, in front of Diego Lopez, there will be Abate, Paletta, Mexes and Antonelli, in midfield De Jong, Poli and Bonaventura, in attack Cerci, Destro and Menez. Mihajlovic, who hit the news this week for interrupting a workout ("I got angry, I hope mine turn into poisonous snakes"), will respond with the usual 4-2-3-1 in which Okaka will go on the bench to make way to Muriel, with Eder, Soriano and Eto'o supporting.
