From 18 to 24 on Friday 24 February, thanks to Acea's temporary lighting systems, the Colosseum has been illuminated in the colors of the flag of Ukraine, as well as the facade of Senate Palace at the Campidoglio, with a pair of eye-catching yellow-blue banners. It is meant to be the symbol of uninterrupted support since February 24, 2022, the day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The gesture was jointly proposed by the administration of Roma Capitale and the Ministry of Culture and immediately implemented by Acea technicians.
Similar initiative a Paris, Where the Torre Eiffel it lit up in blue and yellow as a sign of solidarity for the country. At the local level, there was no lack of demonstrations of closeness by many Municipalities of Italy who have joined various initiatives, such as that of “A light for Ukraine“, promoted by the Radical section of Rimini and always with the use of the colors of the Ukrainian flag to be projected onto the important buildings of the various cities.
