Campari closes first nine months of 2013 with pre-tax profit down 15% to €149,5 million and sales up 13% – The group has been awarded the distribution rights for Bulldog Gin – Bag.

Campari: gross profit 9 months -15%

The first nine months of the year for Campari are on file, closing with a 15% drop in pre-tax profit to 149,5 million euros, despite the 13% growth in sales, around one billion euros . The Milanese beverage group also recorded a negative organic change of 0,4%, in the light of the acceleration in the third quarter (+5,2%), thanks to "the expected realignment of sales to consumption trends in Italy".

This was communicated in a note released by the same company, in which Campari also announced that it had won the distribution rights of Bulldog Gin, with a purchase option in 2020. The group's forecasts for the fourth quarter speak of a stabilization of the business .

After the publication of the results, the Campari share fell on the stock exchange, losing 0,86% in the late morning, at 6,345 euros per share.
