Campari: the Australian Copack was acquired for 14,2 million

The Italian group has signed the contract to acquire the assets of the Australian company specializing in beverage packaging – The operation, which will be completed in the third quarter, will cost 14,2 million euros – The stock on the Stock Exchange is slightly down.

Campari closes due to the purchase of Copack. The Italian group has, in fact, signed an agreement to acquire the assets of the Australian company, specialized in the packaging of canned and glass beverages, and current supplier of the Campari Group for the packaging of Wild Turkey ready-to-drink products.

The operation it will cost the Italian company a consideration of 14,2 million euros and will be completed in the third quarter of the year: according to initial estimates, the payback period will be 6 years. Campari, after three years of activity and constant expansion in Australia, preferred, instead of creating a brand new production structure, to acquire an already existing company, thus improving its position on the market in the Asia-Pacific region.

The title of Campari, in the late morning, it lost 0,45% on the Stock Exchange, at 5,58 euros per share, in line with the bad day in Piazza Affari.
