Climate change, Cingolani at MAXXI

Facing a burning world, there is no more time to lose. So what projects to adopt to tackle the difficult issue of global warming? The Minister for Ecological Transition discusses it on Wednesday 1 December at 18 pm Roberto Cingolani e Giovanna Melandri president of the MAXXI Foundation, in the headquarters of the Museum of XXI Century Arts. The conversation, open to all (the green pass must be presented) is one of the many events staged by the Museum on the occasion of the Amazonia exhibition by Sebastiao Salgado which will remain open until next February 13th.

The exhibition highlights the fragility of this ecosystem, showing that in the protected areas where the Indian communities live, the ancestral guardians, the forest has suffered almost no damage and invites us to see, listen and reflect on the ecological situation and the relationship men have today with it.

After the umpteenth alarm raised by the IPCC (the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change promoted by the UN and the World Meteorological Organization); after the global appeal echoed at the very recent Cop26 in Glasgow, the efforts carried out within the G20 by the Draghi, Cingolani and Melandri presidency during the meeting they will take stock of the "proposals and projects underway to reverse the trend in the environmental field, without forgetting the important and complex geopolitical issues and global imbalances that hinder change".
