Cambi Casa d'Aste – Design totals €1.400.000 in sales

Two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, organized to allow the many foreign buyers to be able to compete, saw a strong participation of collectors, connected both to the live ONLINE sites and by telephone, from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom to name a few, but at the same time there was also growing interest from Italian buyers.

Satisfaction from the Head of this Department Piermaria Scagliola who declares that the quality and variety of the objects offered in the catalog have exceeded the results obtained both last December and the previous sale in June 2014 where there was just below the million.

There are many interesting proposals in the catalog which have attracted the attention of buyers and which have led to excellent sales results.

The Italian brand so appreciated abroad has also reached figures exceeding one hundred thousand such as the pair of walnut armchairs by Gio Ponti (lot 324) which stopped at 112.000 euros starting from a base of only 8-10 thousand euros while a rare 40s tubular brass and colored glass chandelier by Pietro Chiesa has exceeded €60.000 from a starting price of €20.

Among the other top lots, the results obtained by two other proposed chandeliers stand out, lot 286 by Max Ingrand which from an estimate of 15-20 thousand reached around 60 thousand euros and the other by Fontana Arte il Dahalia, a chandelier in polished brass and nickel-plated which from 12 rose to 57. The two tables proposed by Gabriella Crespi reached the first - Tavolino 2000 - the figure of 48 thousand euros while the table with wooden shelves from a starting price of 12 thousand reached 36 thousand.

The rare floor lamp by Sarfatti from the 50s estimated at 10-15 thousand stopped at around 41 thousand euros, while a mirror by Venini from the 40s costing 3 thousand euros stopped at 22.300 euros. A group of armchairs and sofas by Ignazio Gardella proposed with an estimate of between 6 thousand and 14 thousand euros saw such increases that they doubled if not tripled the initial estimates such as for lot 200 the Diagramma Sofa which from a base of 6 thousand euros reached 31 thousand euros.

From Gio Ponti we can still mention the rare brass vase lot 313 which from just 1400 euros has risen to 16 thousand euros and the wooden writing desk lot 317 which has risen from 2 thousand euros to around 15 thousand euros or the pair of walnut lot 316 which reached 11 thousand euros from a starting price of only 2500 and lastly the walnut and maple bookcase with glass and brass components lot 329 which doubled the initial estimate of 12 thousand euros reaching 27 thousand euros while for modern authors which have been grouped in a catalog dedicated to them "Tempo presente" we can highlight the result obtained from lot 2 a MOISSAC sideboard produced in 2004 which stood at 12 thousand euros
