Caltagirone: Takeover bid failed, no delisting

The Caltagirone takeover bid failed, so the publishing group will not say goodbye to Piazza Affari. During the new acceptance period, 96.810 shares on Caltagirone Editore were brought to the offer launched by Chiara Finanziaria (a group company headed by the Roman entrepreneur), equal to approximately 0,286% of the shares subject to the offer and 0,077% of the share capital, for an equivalent value of 118.108,20 euros.

In the light of the provisional results of the offer, aimed at the delisting, “the condition on the threshold has not been fulfilled”, reads a press release, and the offeror announces that the offer “is to be considered ineffective. Therefore, the shares tendered in acceptance of the tender offer will be returned to the availability of the respective owners, without charge of charges or expenses to be borne by them by tomorrow”.
