Eighty years of history of the Milan Triennale told through images, an extraordinary opening in Modena for the exhibition Nam June Paik, unpublished librettos at the Casa del Goldoni in Venice and a week of music at the Bergamo International Culture Festival.

Triennale di Milano, 80 years 1933–2013 – A unique story from the Triennale archives
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the Triennale di Milano opens its Historical Archive and presents to the public a selection of images that tell its story, the story of a building and that of an institution that has produced fundamental moments, themes, debates and exhibitions for Italian and international design culture. A rich selection of archival materials such as photographs, documents, posters, graphics, films, tell 80 years of exhibitions, people, events, installations.

Extraordinary opening until 24.00 of the exhibition NAM JUNE PAIK IN ITALY
Saturday 18 May on the occasion of "Nessun Dorma", an event linked to the "European Night of Museums" organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with various city organizations and associations, the exhibition Nam June Paik in Italy, set up at Palazzo Santa Margherita and at the Palazzina dei Giardini in Corso Canalgrande in Modena will remain open to the public all day from 10.30 to 24.00.

Francesco Maria Piave (Murano, 1810 - Milan, 1876), famous Murano librettist and composer, flanked his most prolific production with the figure of Giuseppe Verdi, for whom he wrote ten librettos, including "The Lady of the Camellias" by Alexandre Dumas .

Writing painting drawing language. Gaston Novelli. Works on paper.
The exhibition revolves around one of the masterpieces of Gastone Novelli (Vienna 1925 - Milan 1968) - the large canvas The king of the sun (1961) – and brings together a nucleus of over thirty works on paper, dated between 1957 and 1968, many of which have never been exhibited until today.

#NODE2013, MOUNT KIMBIE
The International Festival of Electronic Music and Live Media organized by the Civic Gallery of Modena, curated by Filippo Aldovini and Fabio Bonetti, co-produced with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Modena with the contribution of the Department of Culture of the Emilia-Romagna Region in collaboration with VIE Scena Contemporanea Festival, Mattatoio Culture Club and Juta Cafè has reached its sixth edition.
The Festival, which will be held at the Giardini Ducali Estensi in Corso Canalgrande in Modena on 14 and 15 June 2013, will be preceded by a rich calendar of events such as, for example, the preview scheduled for 17 May AT 23.00 pm at the Tube Club (ex More), preview #NODE2013, MOUNT KIMBIE live, the only Italian date of MOUNT KIMBIE on the occasion of the presentation tour of their second LP "Cold Spring Fault Less Youth" out on Warp Records on May 27th.

The evening of Sunday 12 May, In festive Ascensionis Domini, is organized in collaboration with the City of Lugano, the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, the Italian Cultural Institute of Zurich, the Foundation for the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the Confraternity of S. Carlo Borromeo, the Friends of the Magnificat Association, the Via Nassa Association, the September Organ Association of Morbio Inferiore. The next and last appointment, The Edict of Milan (313-2013), will be held on Sunday 9 June 2013, at 20.30 pm, in the church of S. Maria degli Angioli, with the concert by the S. Bernardo Vocal Group, Lidia Basterretxea (soprano), Giulio Mercati (organ) and the reciting voice of Don Luigi Pessina.
